Nearly a dozen people homeless after apartment building fire

SAN ANTONIO -- Fire crews were busy Tuesday night fighting an eight-unit apartment fire on the West Side.

Crews were called out around 11:30 p.m. to the corner of 36th Street and Amires. The fire started on the second level of the apartment building. It was a total loss.

Eleven people have been displaced, and arson investigators are continuing to search for the cause of the fire.

Damage estimates were set at about $150,000.
