SAN ANTONIO -  It's been a fairly quiet hurricane season so far, but forecasters say that may change.

Forecasters at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) have raised their estimate of potential storms for the remainder of the Atlantic hurricane season saying they expect a total of 12 to 17 tropical storms... with as many as five to eight hurricanes.

There have been four tropical storms and two hurricane this season so far.

The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 through the end of November.

Anyone else remember liberal environuts telling us Category 4 and 5 hurricanes were going to tear up the U.S. shoreline for the next century thanks to global warming? Still waiting.

How the heck can you revise a "forecast" 10 weeks into the hurricane season???? I guess so that they can boast about their (NOAA's) accuracy. They are notoriously pathetic at their forecast.
