SAN ANTONIO -- A local school wants students to 'Be a Buddy, Not a Bully,' and they've found a unique way to send the message.
Students at Forester Elementary got to see the effects of bullying firsthand through a screening of "The Spaces Between." The film follows the story of a boy who is ridiculed by classmates. School officials say they hope the film inspires students to accept each other's differences.
"We're trying to equip everybody with the necessary information about what bullying really is and different strategies that boys and girls can do in order to tackle bullying as they experience throughout their lives," explained Forester Elementary School Principal Jeffrey Davenport.
The actors in the film, who are also former students of Forester Elementary, got to sit down with students after they watched the film for a question and answer session.
