SAN ANTONIO -- President Barack Obama visited with the families of the victims of Friday's deadly shooting at a Colorado movie theater Sunday, including the brother of San Antonio victim Jessica Ghawi.

Jordan Ghawi was sure to share an important message with the president, best explained in a tweet he released the day of the shooting.

"Let's remember the names of the victims and not the coward who committed this act," Ghawi wrote.

The president acknowledged Jordon's message by telling the public "In the end, after he has felt the full force of our justice system, what will be remembered are the good people who were impacted by this tragedy."

Another victim is Jessica's close friend Brent Lowak of Bulverde.
He was shot twice in the attack and tried to save Jessica.

Lowak works for an area H-E-B, and the company is stepping up to help him.

H-E-B will fly Lowak home after his third surgery on Tuesday so he can attend Jessica's memorial.

The Ghawi family says the memorial will be a celebration of her life and is inviting the public to share in the celebration.

The memorial for Jessica Ghawi is scheduled for Saturday, July 28th at Community Bible Church at 10:00am.

Isn't it pecliar that when, for instance, GWB "mourned" any losses, he was genuine, real, patriotic, and everything, ad nuseum. But, when President Obama joins in passing his condolences and sympathy to victims, the right-wing nut jobs come out and try to crucify him as "indifferent" and that he doesn't care "one iota" about the victims and on and on. Had the President NOT shown-up, the right wing whackos would be hollering the same things. That's why they'll lose this fall. They don't even like one another. Obama 2012!!!

Girau, yes it is tragic for all who died. Jessica Ghawi was from San Antonio so many WOAI viewers have special feelings for her.

My deepest condolences for the Ghawi family in their lost of Jessica Ghawi but why their is a focus on only Jessica as if she is the only one that was killed on that tragic day? What about the other 11 people that had died? I know I am sounding harsh when I say this, but when I watch WOAI all I hear is about her and not about the other people that had died. In my deepest heart, I believe they desire to be honored. Here are their names including Jessica Ghawi: Jonathan Blunk, age 26; AJ Boik, age 18; Jesse Childress, age 29; Gordon W. Cowden, age 51; Jessica Ghawi, age 24; John Thomas Larimer, age 27; Matt McQuinn, age 27; Veronica Moser-Sullivan, age 6; Alex Matthew Sullivan, age 27; Alex Tevas, age 24; Rebecca Ann Wingo, age 32. My prayers for their family in their sudden lost.

(For MCR) Sorry to say it, but Obama doesn't care one iota for the victims. Just remember his reaction to the Ft. Hood massacre (Waco TX). It was utter indifference. The only changes to the tragedy he sees now are in time and location, namely election season and battleground state. That's it, courtesy of the actor in chief.

Jordan is a phenomenal human being who has devoted so much as a medic, firefighter and full-time student at UT Health and Science Center (Dean's List). He was my former college student for US History II in San Antonio and was exceptionally bright and gifted in academics and in helping others in need. I am hurt by the loss of his sister. I did not know his sister, but from what I read, she was a remarkable young lady going big places. She was so beautiful and what a a smile she had. My family is extending their love and thoughts to the Ghawi family. Lots of love. Professor Sara Emami
