SAN ANTONIO -- A motorcyclist was killed when his bike collided with an SUV on Interstate 10 Thursday night.

A police report states both vehicles were headed eastbound on Interstate 10 around 9:20 p.m. Thursday, when the motorcycle crashed into the SUV near Huebner Road. The driver of the SUV said he heard something hit his vehicle right after he changed lanes. He told police he checked traffic and signaled before making the lane change. Witnesses told police the driver of the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed and weaving in out of traffic just before the crash.

The 27-year-old motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene.

I was a witness of this accident and i saw everything. This happened at 8:20pm. The guy on the motorcycle was traveling at a very high speed. Its so sad, i saw him alive.. and dead. I pray for his family and everybody that was impacted by this.

@just me. You said it. Another motorcyclist is dead, please pray for him and others to be safe. He can not speak but the SUV driver says he checked traffic and signaled before making the lane change(rarely do people in San Antonio do that). Most have a me first attitude when driving in this town.

Euroboy was right. The driver of the motorcycle was irresponsible weaving in and out of traffic. If he had any regard for his own life or family or the life of anyone else, he would have driven more responsibly.

Euroboy is right. While it is sad for the family that is left behind to mourn their loss, this boy was asking for an accident by driving recklessly. And yes it is fortunate that he didn't hurt others, because he certainly was not driving with caution. He was endangering countless others lives by being a hot rod.

euroboy, that was a really unnecessary comment. Although he made a stupid mistake, he didn't deserve to lose his life. Think about his family. This is a horrible tragedy.

Not surprised!! Most of the motorcyclists in this city are stupid and crazy!!! Always weaving in and out of traffic and speeding!!! I'm glad this idiot didn't kill someone else besides himself!!!

I have read this story on three different news sites, and the time of the accident was different on all three. One said 7, the other said 8, and this one says 9:20. Two say he was not wearing a helmet, and one site says it was not reported whether he was or not. No wonder SA is such a screwed up city. Everything that is reported is either wrong or the reporters are unsure of the facts. How about this? JOURNALISTS NEED TO GATHER THE FACTS BEFORE REPORTING THE NEWS!
