Damn that would suck to hit a deer on the highway. They come from the USAA property. Plenty of deer in there. Ive hit a dog on the highway walking around like if he was at the park that sucked, I can imagine a deer. :/

Jimkata....HaHaHaHa!!! Glad you didn't have any real damage and that the deer survived!!! Hubby's pickup has two separate dents in it where deer have run out and hit him, so I know exactly what you're talking about!!! Very early one morning, I stopped beside a couple of deer in the middle of the highway, rolled my window down (small car I had at that time) and actually started talking to the deer before they woke up mentally, freaked out, and scattered in directions all over the place. When they freak out and get scared, they simply take off and run, and not always in a logical or safe direction. The cop you stopped and spoke to obviously hadn't had much real & true experience with some of the wildlife in this state!!! I had a young armadillo late last night out here on my ranch road when I went to check on a water well that I had to stop and let figure things out and move on. I LOVE wildlife, and there is so much to learn from them!!!

I had a deer run out and hit me once... I was in my pickup truck visiting a friend over in Hollywood park... didn't do any noticeable damage to me, but it was pretty stunned... I found a police cruiser about a block and a half away and I stopped and told him what happened... he looked at me as if I were crazy, and asked "The DEER hit YOU??"
