I live in this same area, I am positive this is the kid who was weaving in and out of traffic during morning rush. This situation is unfortunate, but this guy should not have been issued a drivers license or a motor vehicle if he didnt know how to properly drive. He was putting his life in danger as well as the lives of others on the road. This should be a lesson that speeding does not get you anywhere, only a un-anticipated death.

Isn't it strange how these comments can morph into something so far from the true nature of the information to begin with. We can say what if's over and over. I was there also. I did not see the actual impact but I arrived seconds after to comfort the victim or hopefully help while we were waiting for the ambulance. I am thankful to God that he most likely was not aware of what was going on consciously. He was fortunate to have people around him who truely did feel for him and knew if he were to survive he would have a rough road in front of him. I am a nurse at a local hospital and I will carry the memory of him inside me forever. As sensless as his act may seem he will impact the lives of the people who experienced this event forever. I feel for his family and pray they find comfort because they will survive and live with this loss for the rest of their lives. I felt a connection with this individual and I cannot explain that but something pulled at me to put flowers at the accident site as well. I have prayed for him, his family and for myself to be strong and get past the awful scene that plays over and over when my mind is idle.

@jenmarie, A witness stated he was traveling at a high rate of speed therefore, when you accept that speed kills and is a significant factor in survivability then, you will come to terms with what happened. You don't appreciate the comments left on here and yes, some are mean while other's aren't and yet, you refer to the deceased as the "damn driver". I think you're in the least bit to be saying anything, if you were trying to be sympathetic.

I'm familiar with that intersection and there is nothing unsafe about it, I've driven through it many times. Dude must have done something wrong, or been going way too fast, just saying.

I am sorry to tell you dumbasses that anytime a motorcycle is involved in an accident it is always blammed on the driver and speed. There are multiple things that could have caused this wreck including things being in the roadway or a slight movement. You have no idea how it is to ride a bike and you shouldnt be so quick to judge. Its just like when you ride a jetski you feel and look like you are going fast but you really arent. It always seems as though the driver is speeding when in reality they are not. Plus when you speed in your car, does that cause you to get in an accident? No! IT is what you do and the conditions you are driving in that make all the difference. This was a very good young kid with his head on straight and I dont appreciate the biased comments being left on here. You stupid people are too quick to judge. You have no position to be saying anything except giving your condolences to the family and friends whom now no longer have him in their life. How dare you. Get a freakin life and quit downing other peoples lives. Doesnt matter what the hell happened, no one knows except the damn driver, he is no longer here and that is the worse thing that could happen and your sitting over here critizing someone who cant speak up for themselves.

Life is not a video game. In real life, when you speed and crash you usually die. These kids don't know reality from fantasy.

@pogue your own;all thou your statement is basically correct .I feel you still need to think it through a little more. I ride a motorcycle been doing so for thirty + yrs and every time one of these young inexperienced riders gets hurt doing something stupid on there bike.It makes All us bikers look bad . so if I had a kid that wanted to ride I would want to know what size and type of bike were in these accidents so that I could aide in his decision on what size bike would be good for his experience level.

I think they better look again at this story rather than a speeding bike. The location where he crashed is a curve with 2 intersecting apartments main exit/entrances. If you look at the news the markings left by investigators on the street where he went off the road is as if he purposely veered to the right to avoid a collision from someone entering the road from the apartments across the street. Noone rarely ever stays at the seen to take responsibility.
