SAN ANTONIO -- A motorcyclist was injured in a crash on the West Side Monday morning.

The accident happened around 9:45 a.m. Monday in the 7900 block of Culebra, just outside Loop 410. A DPS spokesperson said a trooper saw a man on a motorcycle run a red light while traveling east on Culebra and tried to pull him over. The motorcyclist refused to stop and ran several more stop signs as the trooper continued to chase him. The trooper said the motorcyclist ran a red light at the intersection of Culebra and Reed and crashed into a pickup truck. The impact sent the motorcycle over the center median and into westbound lanes of traffic.

The man was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. His name has not been released, but investigators said he is a Mexican national in his 20's.
