SAN ANTONIO - Fire officials say a 3-year-old is responsible for setting a mattress on fire.
It happened at a home off Algruth on the East Side Saturday afternoon. Firefighters say the boy started the fire in a bedroom and his mother helped to quickly put it out. She had burns to her hands and was treated at the scene.
Firefighters installed smoke detectors inside the home, since there were none.
