A family cat's hissing alerts an Australian mother that her toddler was being squeezed by a python. The mother awoke to find the python wrapped around her two-year-old daughter's arm as she lay in bed. When the mother shined a light on the snake, it began biting the girl's hand. The mother grabbed the snake by the head and flung it away.
Her little girl suffered three bites, and has since been discharged from the hospital.
