WOODLANDS, Texas -- The search for a missing 11-year-old girl is now over. Officials found the girl, Savannah Hurley, in Trinity County, about 110 miles north of Houston.

A statewide Amber Alert had been issued for the Woodlands native, who officials say was taken by her 46-year-old mother, Shelly Jean Hurley. Shelly has been arrested. The girl's grandmother has also been arrested and is charged with interfering with child custody in connection with the abduction.

The Amber Alert was issued around 7:45 p.m. Monday, close to six hours after the abduction. According to KTKR in Houston, reports say Hurley threatened to run over a CPS worker with her car and then drove off with Savannah.

Mesquite authorities located the family's 1996 Subaru station wagon they had been searching for since Monday. A witness had seen the car and called 911.

Authorities say Savannah was supposed to spend the holidays with her paternal grandparents at their countryside home near Greenville. Currently, Savannah will stay in foster care for the night and a judge will decide into who's custody the girl should be under.

I certainly hope the court sees fit to terminate all parental rights with that insane mother and grandmother. This poor kid is caught in the middle of a nasty battle between the parents, and she will bear the scars for years to come.

Anyone (mom & granny) too stupid to think they could get away with a kidnapping, should have their parental rights ended. Sheesh!

Poor little lady. So glad she's been found safe, but her life seems to be so messed up, which has to be horrible on her emotionally.
