BOERNE, Texas -- Men in Kendall County will take a stand against domestic violence Wednesday, and they'll do it in 4-inch red high heels.

Kendall County and Boerne civic leaders, including councilmen and police officers, will walk one mile in high heels down Main Street in Boerne. It's the first year for the event.

Over 850 cases of domestic violence were reported back in 2010.

The event is sponsored by the Kendall County Women's Shelter to promote awareness about domestic violence. It will take place from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
