SAN ANTONIO -- Thanksgiving can be hard for homebound seniors who may not have anyone to share the holiday or a hot meal with. However, hundreds of people pitched in to make sure that they did.
500 teams of people lined the block around the Meals on Wheels building this morning, ready to deliver 2,000 turkey dinners, which is 150 more than last year. Helping others is a tradition for many families, including the Zuniga family.
"I like seeing how happy they are and I think their happiness reflects and makes me feel better too," Alyssa Molina said.
Thanksgiving is the biggest volunteer day for Meals on Wheels but the organization could use more help, especially during the winter break when many families are on vacation and children are out of school. If you'd like to help,
