SAN ANTONIO -- Using your mettle, pedal to work on Friday, May 15, 2009. It's one of several events for "Bike Month."

Walk & Roll on the River Fest

As part of the celebrations surrounding the opening of the San Antonio River Walk northern extension, there's a Walk & Roll on the River Fest, Sunday, May 31, 2009, from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

Come to the Pearl Brewery, 312 Pearl Parkway, either walking or cycling. There will be 5 (3.2m) and 10 km (6.2m) walks as well as short and long bike rides. Plus entertainment, informational exhibits, and refreshments are on tap.

This year’s Fest partners with the San Antonio River Authority to celebrate the Grand Opening the River Walk from Lexington Ave. to Josephine St.
