SAN ANTONIO - A 21-year old Marine is being investigated after a witness says he was spotted leaving an event with a 13-year old girl from Gonzales County.

The two then returned to campus and notified the Texas Tech police.

"We are aware of an alleged incident at Texas Tech University involving a Marine who was in a temporary duty status in Lubbock for approximately three weeks but has since returned to his parent command on the west coast."
The district attorney in Lubbock will decide whether or not to charge the Marine. We reached out to the superintended of school in the Nixon-Smiley School District but they did not acknowledge the incident or the investigation.
