SAN ANTONIO -- A man was shot on the West Side after trying to help a woman.
The shooting happened around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday near Laredo and Hamilton, near Culebra Road. Officers said the man was standing outside with a woman when a group of men approached them and started asking the woman for money. When the victim became upset and stepped in, police say someone pulled a gun and shot him in the arm.
No arrests have been made.
