SAN ANTONIO -- A man was shot multiple times in his front yard after he answered a knock at the door, police said.

The victim, described as in his mid-20s, began arguing with a man in the 4000 block of El Paso St. at about 9 p.m. Tuesday night.  Police say the second man pulled out a gun and fired about a dozen shots, hitting the resident in the chin and torso several times. The victim's brother found him lying in the front yard and the gunman took off in a light-colored Mustang.

The victim was rushed to University Hospital in critical condition.  Police did not know what the men argued about.  The victim's friend was also inside the home with the victim's brother at the time of the shooting.
