SAN ANTONIO -- A 37-year-old man was killed Wednesday when he shot himself in the head at a local shooting range.  Police are investigating whether the shooting was accidental.

Emergency crews, including AirLife, were called to A Place to Shoot at 13250 Pleasanton Road around 11:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Investigators tell News 4 WOAI the victim showed up to the range and rented a pistol.  He was firing the gun in one of the firing lanes when other patrons saw him fall to the ground.  That's when they realized he had been shot.

Other people at the range reportedly told police there was nothing strange about the man's behavior before the shooting.
