Man killed crossing Loop 1604 overnight

SAN ANTONIO - A man was killed overnight trying to cross Loop 1604 near Lockhill Selma.

We’ve learned the man reportedly had a falling out with some friends, and decided to leave a bar in The Ridge Shopping Center just before 1 am Thursday. According to police, the man then tried to cross Loop 1604 and was hit by two vehicles in the westbound lanes.

The accident caused the westbound lanes to be shut down for about two hours.

The man, who’s identity has not been released, died at the scene.

None of the drivers were cited.

Running while intoxicated is just as dangerous as DWI. Did he think he could outrun those vehicles going 70 mph?
