SAN ANTONIO -- An Eisenhower Middle School student says a man claiming to be an officer tried to lure her into his truck Monday afternoon near the intersection of Memory Lane and Patricia, on San Antonio's north side.

The incident happened as the student was walking home from school.  She says the man pulled up next to her in a black truck and asked for directions to Eisenhower Middle School.

He then allegedly told her to get into the truck so she could direct him to the school.  The girl instead ran home and told her parents, who then informed the school.

North East district leaders describe the man as a white male with dark hair and a dark, short beard.  The district also sent a letter to parents explaining the incident and encouraging them to talk to their children about stranger danger.
