Man hits sign at North Star Mall

SAN ANTONIO -- A young man speeding through the parking lot at North Star Mall ended up crashing into a sign.

The accident happened early Saturday morning at 2 a.m.

Police said the 21-year-old man suffered a head injury but refused treatment and fought with a security guard.

Witnesses said the man was yelling and was not making sense.

First responders were able to calm him down and finally treat him.

Officers said the man was heavily intoxicated and will be charged with DUI.

I dont get it. How does one get so drunk they drive the wrong way or as this numbskull did, decide the parking lot is the Indy 500.

Thank heaven this person was in a parking lot and only involved himself rather than kill innocent people.

This begs the question . . . what in the world was he doing there at 2:00a.m.? I guess he could have hit the boots but I bet he would have had worse than a headache! He was also probably DUI, throw him in jail and get his attention now or we will be hearing about him in the next 20 years.
