UNIVERSAL CITY, Texas -- A man was held at gunpoint during a home invasion in Universal City.
News 4 was told a woman living in the 600 block of Amistad took her dogs to get groomed Tuesday afternoon and left the garage door open. Four men then entered the home and held the woman's husband at gunpoint. The men ransacked the house and stole some of the couple's belongings.
A witness driving by at the time of the home invasion spotted the suspects leaving in a car and helped police locate them to the Miramar subdivision in Converse. The suspects were seen jumping a fence of the home they were hiding out and were arrested a short time later. Police say they have four men in custody and are looking for one more suspect.
During the search, residents of the subdivision were kept out of their homes for safety.
"It's been frustrating," said homeowner, Marcey Perez. "We're ready to go home, but can't still go into our neighborhood."
Police say the suspects could be responsible for additional home invasions earlier this month, including some in Live Oak, Converse, and Bexar County.
Police say the suspects committed two home invasions in Universal City Tuesday afternoon before heading to the home in the Miramar subdivision. Four suspects were arrested, and are being charged with aggravated robbery.
