SAN ANTONIO-- The trial for a man accused of murdering a man last October and of sexually assaulting a teenage runaway, then forcing her into prostitution is underway.
Prosecutors began with compelling opening statements, telling jurors 21-year-old Kwaku Agyin became angry when the teenage girl he was selling for sex started a relationship with 35-year-old Marcus Anderson and shot him. Anderson was killed back on October 2nd at the Skyline Motel.
Jurors also watched video of detectives questioning Agyin about his involvement with the teenage runaway. Agyin claims the girl told him she was 19 or 20 years old.
Agyin is charged with murder, sexual assault of a child, compelling prostitution, and trafficking of a child. He faces up to life in prison for each charge.
