What a vile, base, disgusting piece of trash that would commit such a heinous act on a dog. He will do it to a person, guaranteed. Unfortunately, he'll get a slap on the wrist and will continue his tirades on another dog. I agree that there should be an animal cruelty registry so these dirtbags can never own another animal.

WE NEED AN ANIMAL CRUELTY REGISTRY, SIMILAR TO THE SEX OFFENDER REGISTRY!!!!! YES, I'M SCREAMING!!!!! If they'll do this to an innocent animal, they'll do it to a human. We need a registry to protect ourselves from these future Ted Bundy's (he was an animal abuser, too), and animals from these abusers. If they're on the registry, they can't adopt another animal, and can be prosecuted if caught owning one obtained through other means.

unfortunately, ACS doesn't care who they adopt out to...it's a very sad truth. unless of course, you are a rescue organization...then they make you go thru so much red tape to get a dog, then adopt out the dog to some loser who you see throwing the dog in the back of the truck leaving the facility. ACS in SA is worthless...

I really hope this idiot is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and I hope he rots in hell!! Hopefully ACS and other animal adoption facilities are able to keep a record of his name so he is not able to obtain another poor innocent animal to abuse in the future!! His name should be made public so everyone knows what a piece of crap he is!

sad thing in SA...unlike other bigger and a lot of smaller cities, we do not have an animal cruelty task force or police department. even crappy houston has animal cops. as horrible as the people in this city treat their animals, we NEED something like that here. did you know at the 151 shelter, owner surrenders are put down almost immediately? ACS doesn't even try to foster or adopt them out. SAPA tries to save what they can, but run into roadblocks put up by ACS. those people there are horrible. the ones that should be helping animals don't because of their petty human issues. but, that's a culture in san antonio....ignorance in that an animal is nothing but an animal and it's disposable. although by the way people raise their children here, they obviously treat them the same. ugh. then you have rescues, like the one i volunteer for, who have to go thru so much red tape to try and get a dog/cat out of ACS, when some Joe off the street, who no telling why they want the dog or if they would be a good owner, can come in and within 5 minutes adopt out a dog. do you know how many dog fighting rings are run in SA? how many of them go to ACS and "adopt" dogs only to turn them into "bait" dogs? not just pits either. it's RAMPANT in SA! i want to know when someone is going to start investigating that! Back to my point, tougher laws and consequences need to be developed and enforced in SA. of course, that takes time, money and resources. people in SA would rather their money be spent on drunk fests like Fiesta rather than anything that is logical and would actually make sense...

LOL - no problem. And as for spelling and grammar, I too am guilty of that at times. I understand that certain things get to us at times and we as a society become quick to judge when met with certain stressors(i.e., guilty BEFORE proven innocent).

@Stabzz, the one thing that I have to say is that had the dog been attacking anyone, especially a child, that would have been the story headline. Because it wasn't, suspicion immediately went to clear, unadulterated animal abuse. And, now we get more of the story, which only cements my original opinion. And, I still say that we need an animal abuser registry!!!!!!

stabzz...you're right. I've preached myself about not judging without all the details. i'm calming down from the stresses of earlier and can see i, too, came across defensive and my grammar and spelling were horrid! i apologize for that most of all! LOL
