SAN ANTONIO- A woman is in custody after police say she got into a fight with her ex-husband and stabbed him late Monday.
The stabbing happened at a home on Tulipan Walk around 11:30 p.m. Monday. The ex-husband, 37-year-old Damon Mundy, told police he and his girlfriend were going to a friend's house when his ex-wife suddenly showed up and began to argue with him about his girlfriend. Mundy said his ex-wife then pulled out a knife and stabbed one of the tires on his car. When she went to flatten another tire, Mundy told police he tried to stop her, and she stabbed him in the chest several times.
Mundy said his ex-wife then ran behind a building to apparently dispose of the weapon and told him to go ahead and call the cops because they wouldn't find the knife.
Mundy was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) and is expected to be okay.
His ex-wife was arrested for aggravated assault.
