I voted against it because if they are going to use all of the taxpayer's money it should benefit all of the taxpayers and not those select, chosen constituents of our crazy mayor.

I voted against this one... not because I am truly against it, but didn't know enough about it to be for it.

actually catwalk you are both right, northside has a pre-k but it is definitely not for everyone, you have to qualify by either being poor, active military dependent, have a learning disability or you don't speak english. In other words you have to have a pre-existing condition in order to qualify, exact same requirements as the one proposed by our crazy mayor

If this Pre-K4 is for all 4years regardless of income then yes but if you still have to qualified for it then NO...dont tell me you have the best interstice for the 4years cause if you did then ALL 4years will be able to attend... regardless of income...

Finally someone speaks up against the check mark. What a great idea to use existing program funding especialy now with America's trillion dollar deficit and bad economy. Instead of paying the guru $ to promote pre-k, pay him to budget existing programs and cut fraud and waste. I see gov spending waste all the time because they need to spend the money so they dont get their budget cut for next fiscal year. In addition, everyone should do their part as Americans for their country. Contrary to what everyone thinks noones owes anyone nothing. If this passes Castro will have a milestone for his next political agenda and we will have a bucket of tax worms.

What happened to PCI? So the lady that ran it made a great income? Good for her. Also, If I thought this plan gave all children regardless of income a chance, I would vote for it. I pay taxes barely getting by and if I had a kid they wouldn't qualify because allegedly I make good income barely. Head Start is already in place. Child Development is crucial for all kids even the taxpaying kids.
