Hollywood many times hires for looks. Acting comes second, even though the actor deeply believes or has great acting abilities. Hollywood was looking for that young pre-teen look in Haim. When he grew past it, so did most offers. He may have had the talent, and could have expanded and grew, but Hollywood did not budge. Sad commentary on '80s Hollywood.

Yes, I too had his poster on my wall during the 80's and I also thought that Feldman would be the first to go. What a waste. Like so many before him, he was made to grow up too fast and spent his adult life trying to recapture his long lost career. I can't imagine my career being over, washed up, and completely broke before hitting age 30 - suffering an entire lifetime of events within a span of 10 years. Another lesson on why drugs are bad and should not be legalized - this story could become the norm instead of the exception.

I'm so sorry about my last post. It's just some people don't understand the world the way we normal people do. I take back what I said. Anyway, Corey Feldman was wilder than Corey Haim, but when the moment of truth came, Feldman had more control over his addictions, and Haim just kept going, happily. So sad. At least he wasn't 20 something, like most of other show business casualties.

It seems like a lot "ex'druggies" are dying of "flu- like symptoms" and "heart problems" in Hollywood. Brittany Murphy, The Johnson & Johnson heiress, and now Corey Haim? Drugs can cause flu-like symptons because your body is slowly shutting down. And crack and speed ball cocktails do cause heart attacks. Let's stop sugar coating it Hollywood and start calling a Spade a Spade.

Gran Robino...what it's really criminal is to allow bigots and haters like your bones to post comments in these forums. Recreational use of drugs is not criminal. It is somehow tolerated by your society, and that's why the cartels in Mexico are so rich and powerful. To sell drugas or give them to kids is criminal. To use recreational drugs in America is replacing baseball as the #1 pastime. I'd prefer a zillion times to hang around a drug-adict like Corey Haim than with an old bitter f4rt like you. Maybe you should use some weed or X to get rid of such a terrible weight you carry in your back.
