LEAKEY, Texas - A man nicknamed "Lonesome Bob" is suspected in the murder of two people in Real County. His full name is Robert Bryan Jones. He can't defend the accusations against him because the 52-year-old is also dead.

This happened over the weekend in Real County about 120 miles northwest of San Antonio near Leakey, Texas.

Jones lived in a 16 x 16 window-less cabin. He lived alone, high above a hill top. His neighbors say he didn't like people.

“He would make it a point to turn his back if you had your hand up waving at him. He didn't want anything to do with his neighbors,” explained Dave Reyna.

Reyna said the only person who befriended Jones is the one investigators said he killed on Saturday.

“We kind of knew that one day he would, that he was capable of doing something like this”.

According to authorities, Jones started a fire after the murder, trying to get rid of the evidence.

Glen Ivey. Editor and publisher of the Leakey Star newspaper has also been the following the murder mystery. He had a chance to speak to witnesses about the second victim.

“The fire that was here, there are reports that it attracted the attention of the driver of the vehicle that was passing by with her daughter,” explained Ivey.

Sheriff's investigators said Jones then shot the woman dead and injured the woman's teenage daughter. She managed to get away and was later taken to University Hospital in San Antonio, where she is expected to recover.

Jones’ body was then discovered Sunday morning down a ravine along his property. He had turned the gun on himself.

Sheriff's investigators have scoured the area looking for evidence, hoping it will lead them to find out why this happened. They have not released the names of the victims pending next of kin.

What type of weaponry do you use to kill your neighbors, Brother Tyler? It breaks the heart of any Christian to see one so hidden from the sunshine of God's love. Pray, what is your location, that we may rush aid to you. Christian missionaries are standing by to come to assist you. We fear you might explode at any moment. If you pass unsaved, you will go to Hell for eternity. Don't go there; it's too hot.

The story says he lived high above a hilltop. So was he a skydweller? Can reporters write anymore? Is there any common sense anymore? That last question was stupid.

dltyler, did you even read the story? He murdered the one friend he had, tried to burn the evidence, then murdered the innocent bystander that stopped to check out the fire and wounded her daughter. So, who were the do gooders you reference, and how did they not leave him alone? You said, "People who know me leave me the heck alone." I think I can understand why!!!!!

Mr Tyler, we Christians would like to invite you to come to Jesus and leave all your anger behind. Your raging passions and hatred for humanity are the work of the Devil. If you accept Jesus and come to Heaven with the rest of us, it will be fried chicken and picnics every day forever. It is very bad to think about murder and mayhem every day. If you keep that up, it will be off to Hell with you and there is nothing we can do to stop it. As Christians, we make a special effort to approach the most needful of God's love. I expect you have a large "No Soliciting" sign on your front door and possibly some threats to go with it. I'm sure you have noticed that will not stop Christians from witnessing and trying to save you. We will likely be by later to see if we can help. God Bless!

Even if the locals knew that one day this would happen or that Lonely Bob was capable, he hasn't commited anything wrong until he actually does do it. So an intervention would have been unwarranted. I am pretty sure my neighbors rabid dog is gonna tear someone up one day if he gets out of his fence, but until it happens, there's no crime.

"why" is irrelevant. There is no reason why that anyone would say " Oh ok sure, that makes it ok ! ". The when, what and how is the goal. It seems to me though the locals knew this was coming yet didn't try to intervene with the state or county officials. If there is a "why" to find out, I would suspect this would be the only " why " that could possibly make any sense.
