These cruise lines need to do better maintenance on their ships instead of just band aid cleaning and inspections to get them back out on the water faster, at least a couple of days between cruises to allow for safety.

phrilly--didnt you see where it said the ship has drifted 90 miles and is closer to the us than progresso, it only makes sense. I was planning a trip on same ship in september, think i will just go to vegas instead, at least i will be on land.

My idea of fun. Getting in a metal saucer with 4,000 strangers and being stranded in the gulf of mexico with broken toilets. And to add insult to injury, getting towed to Alabama. Whooo hooo!

This is very bad publicity for the Carnival Line. This has happened too many times for me to consider taking my next cruise with them.

I don't know where you are getting your information. Every other channel AND Carnival Cruise Lines itself has it reported that they will be towed to Progresso, Mexico and flown home from there. I don't know where you got Alabama. Check on this please.
