SAN ANTONIO -- A large pothole on Interstate 10 has forced officials to close two lanes of the highway.

Police began receiving calls about some sort of collapse in the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 near New Braunfels Avenue around 7:40 a.m. Thursday. The hole is about one foot deep and two feet wide.

Texas Department of Transportation tweeted the following message: "Emergency Closure on I-10 WB at New Braunfels Ave.; center and right lane will be closed until work is complete."

No injuries were reported, but reports say several vehicles ended up with flat tires after hitting the pothole.

You're right, RRR...no reimbursement from anybody...I've checked. Maybe insurance will cover it if you have collision, but not if just liability. Then there's the deductible. Screwed again!

One foot deep??!! That would cause a lot more than a flat tire. Research your info further before you report.

That's because potholes are an act of God, not the result of poor street maintenance by the city.

So the word is that no state agency will pay to reimburse your damages. You can fill out any form you like, but none are to be paid out regarding potholes.
