SAN ANTONIO - An aviation company will be issuing pink slips while a health company plans to bring jobs to San Antonio.
Hawker Beechcraft will lay off 240 employees at three of its facilities, including one in San Antonio.
Affected employees will be notified the week of November 12.
The company would not confirm how many employees will be let go in San Antonio.
Meanwhile, the City of San Antonio on Thursday announced that a subsidiary of Vanguard Health Systems, Hangar 9 Solutions LLC, will be creating 85 high-wage information technology jobs in San Antonio.
The company will also retain 40 IT jobs already here.
Vanguard is consolidating its IT service center operations and will locate these 125 it jobs at the Cypress Tower north of downtown.
