SAN ANTONIO -- Bexar County Sheriff's Deputies are getting closer to making an arrest in a shooting that left one man dead and two other people wounded, including a 13-year-old girl.
Deputies said 22-year-old Terrell Stephans was killed when gunfire broke out at a birthday party on Countess Road on Saturday. According to investigators, Stephans and a guest at the party got into an argument, and Stephans asked the man to leave. They said the man then took out a gun and started firing into the birthday crowd, hitting and killing Stephans.
Two others were also wounded. Thirteen-year-old Cora Lopez was shot in the head. She remains at University Hospital in a coma. A third person was shot in the shoulder and is expected to recover.
Sheriff's deputies are still questioning witnesses.
Plans for Stephans' funeral are still pending.
