JOB DESCRIPTION: Maintain computer equipment, network infrastructure, install and maintain software systems, keep and maintain repair logs. Reports to Chief Engineer. Requires 40 hours per week. Some overtime may be required at various times.
DUTIES:
- Computer equipment, network equipment, software installed, adjusted or repaired, in a timely manner, to be in good working condition
- Be able to assist with studio and transmitter maintenance in an emergency
- Maintain phone and voicemail systems
- Windows operating systems knowledge
- Work variable hours and respond to emergency calls when needed
- Lift 75 pound equipment
- Climb ladder to height of 40 feet
- Provide escalated support by investigating and resolving complicated hardware and Windows Server operating system issues
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows based servers and perform post provisioning tasks such as backups, monitoring, patching, and disaster recovery planning
- Provide mentorship to more junior personnel, drive projects, tasks and other responsibilities as assigned by Chief Engineer
- Perform project management tasks as assigned
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- 3+ years Windows Systems Administration experience
- 3+ years experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server platforms
- 3+ years experience using server monitoring and reporting tools
- 3+ years working with complex networking technologies, such as layer 2/3 switches, routers, and VLANs
- Strong expertise supporting IIS web servers a plus
EDUCATION and CERTIFICATIONS:
- Four-year degree or equivalent time spent on the job in Information Technology or related field
- Relevant certifications MSCE, Cisco – all others a plus
