SAN ANTONIO -- It's an issue many of us are facing. Employers all over the country are cutting jobs and budgets, leaving workers with more work, but no extra pay. But Hyatt Corporation employees say they've had enough.

Some Hyatt employees held a protest at the Grand Hyatt Thursday. Seventeen cities are holding similar protests, all with the same message: Stop hurting workers.

"What we want is, we want job protection," said Grand Hyatt employee George Ibarra. "We don't want to have to go in there and fear for our jobs."

The employees are asking for a neutrality agreement. They say they've already won against what they say were some unfair labor practices. The employees said they will continue to protest until their demands are met.

May end up protesting all the way to the unemployement office.

You want job security? Dig ditches, pick up garbage, clean up animal poop at the zoo.

Do your job instead of protesting. Let me guess...they are part of a union. That would explain a lot.

If you want job security, do your job so well they don't want to replace you.

It would be nice to know more to the story. What exactly is the Hyatt doing?

I hate to break it to you protesters, but the hotel is just going to hire cheaper workers. Somebody is going to do the job you don't want to do just for a job.

Several other city hotels are also cutting back on hours and staff. Obviously, the economy is *NOT* in "recovery mode".
