Hundreds of cyclists set to ride

Today, over 600 bicycle rider gathered to show their support of a friend and teammate whose life was redirected by a careless and inattentive driver who could have just as easily killed a group of children walking home from school. But these bicyclist proceeded with care, with attention, with courtesy and with compassion through 20 miles of our fair city. That equates to over 12000 miles of bike/rider miles conducted by our friends and relatives in a peaceful and courteous fashion to emphasize the fact that we too have the right to use Texas road. In reality, most of these bicyclists ride this far and farther every weekend. Motorists should know that every day more taxpayers buy bicycles and ride the road of South Texas. Greater vigilance will be required to prevent your lives from being effected by carelessness and inattention.

Carmen.......if you have not received a psychiatric evaluation, get it done soon. Then, have some meds prescribed. Once they take effect and straighten your thinking out, you need to do something to occupy your racing thoughts. Do some volunteer work that does not involve your "holy rolling". I don't think the authorities should condone this type of civil disobedience. There is no telling what these people will get up to once 1000 of them get together. They are protesting getting run over by cars, trucks and motorcycles as they do daredevil riding on the streets. I don't know what they are trying to do, but I am very suspicious. They are obviously not Christians, as they will staging this riot when they should be in Church worshipping the Lord. They may try to block the roads or even attempt suicide attacks on passing motorists. I expect they may be armed. I would urge the Sheriff to intercept these hooligans before they can do any damage.
