SAN ANTONIO-Hundreds of local bikers spent their weekend giving to those in need.

On Saturday more than 70 foster children received a toy for Christmas.

The bikers ditched the leather for Santa suits and delivered all the toys to children in Seguin.

The Red Riding Hoodlum Toy Run is an annual event.

This is 16th year the event has touched lives.

Biker Christmas Y’all remember growing up and the excitement that comes with the Holidays??? Mom cooking, fresh cookies and a decorated tree…. Not to mention, the smell of cinnamon and brightly wrapped presents. It all seemed Sooooo wonderful… Yet, it was all commercial… All about the $$$$.... Things change,,, that’s for sure… Bikers everywhere are gearing up for X-Mas…. But, NOT in the traditional way. At least NOT Hawk & Me… Now, we plan our Toy Runs we get involved in Benefits for others and YES… we shop… We shop for Beer and Food and Harley Stuff… We Buy Parts for bikes, more leather, we trade parts for parts, we gather at church and bars and homes of friends. Egg Nog is NOT a priority but visiting a friend in the hospital is. Feeding the homeless and donating a blanket to someone in need is. Going to food drives and events to benefit the poor is. We are givers and we do it in a quiet way. The Roar of Bikes is really all anyone knows. The average person doesn’t have a clue as to what we’re doing. They don’t know that Bikers are responsible for a bigger percentage of donations to Children’s Hospitals than The Military and The Police Departments put together. They don’t know & they don’t seem to care. On the other hand… A Christmas Party?? Oh Yeah… We are ALL in… Is everyone in their Sunday best? Yep... We break out the Orange shirts and Paaarrrte’ with other Bikers. We swap stories; show off our newest addition… Usually a New Bike!!! OR something newly added to our Old Bike… The FUN we have is genuine. It’s full of LOVE and Holiday Cheer… I Love the Biker Life and I Love Living it Everyday!!!

@ ExitiabilisOdium there were a lot more than just Banditos at this event who all gave more than just little baggies. Before wagging your judgmental finger tell me what have you done to improve the local area and those that live in it. I can tell you that the Banditos have done a tremendous amount for the community and state.
