SAN ANTONIO--A north side homeowner contacted News 4 after receiving what she calls a high energy bill from CPS Energy.

Sue Lindberg has lived in her north side home for 18 years and says she's never received a bill for more than $380.00.

She showed us her usage history and News 4 contacted CPS Energy who told us "her usage doesn't seem to be normal."

They also told us they will have a crew check out her meter Wednesday.

As for others who believe they have a similar situation; they can call CPS Energy at 353-2222 or contact me at jacquelineortiz@woaitv.com

CPS admitted that they sometimes "guesstimate" some energy bills instead of actually reading the meters. Well, in that case I guess I owe them about $10 this month then. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Word !

Phrilly - so by your logic, one can't complain about poor reporting because it was also reported someplace else?

Everyone just wants a taste of the spotlight.

Oh well Jimkata, then you can't complain. You know they have monkeys updating their website. It surely isn't somebody that actually has a degree.

Everyone should stop their whining. The city council needs more money for their pet projects and to start a campaign fund for "Fidelito" Castro so he can re-elect as mayor. That's the reason the "executives" at C(ree)PS are paid more money than a federal senator... Because they know how to squeeze more money from the customers, regardless of the fact that rate-payers are the ones putting the food on the "executives" tables. They are like the Zetas in Mexico...they do what they want and nobody can stop them.

I think the story was shortened for the 10pm broadcast. They did show the bill earlier.

I live on the same street and am dealing with an energy bill that is about $120-130 more than my usual bill. I know other people on our street who have the same issue. Is this a glitch or does CPS just not like our neighborhood? :)

I HATE THE SPAM!!!! ERMEDIC - HER BILL WAS ABOUT $385 AND HER USAGE WAS WAY OVER WHAT IT USUALLY IS. IF YOU WATCHED THE NEWS YOU WOULD KNOW THAT.

This is ridiculous. I'm gonna have to call Woai because my data usage was almost a hundred dollars this more month.
