SAN ANTONIO -- A San Antonio homeowner shot at a couple of would-be thieves trying to break into his West Side home.

Investigators said the duo was attempting a home invasion at the house on Hunters Plane. The homeowner told police he heard noises coming from his front door and when it was opened he fired two shots.

One of the two, a 15-year-old boy, was hit twice. The two then took off but called for help from an HEB Store off of Marbach and Loop 410 a short time later.

The homeowner is not expected to face any charges.

The injured teen remains in the hospital and now faces burglary charges.
