LIVE OAK, Texas -- A home invasion in Live Oak Wednesday morning led to lockdowns at four nearby schools.

Live Oak Police say 35-year-old Andy Guzman broke through a window to get inside a home in the 7800 block of Trumbal around 4:00 a.m. Wednesday. The homeowner tried to stop Guzman, who ended up with an injury to his neck. He took off with his neck bleeding.

Police used dogs and a chopper to search for Guzman and eventually caught up with him. Officers say Guzman knew the people in the home, and the break-in was not random.

A Judson ISD spokesperson said Crestview Elementary, Ed Franz Elementary, Kitty Hawk Middle School, and Judson Early College Academy were all placed on lockdown while police searched for Guzman.
