Hackers leak 1 millon Apple device IDs

WASHINGTON -- Hackers Sunday posted more than 1 million identification numbers for Apple iPhones, iPads and iPod Touch's.

Paul Wagenseil of SecurityNewsDaily said the all of the ID numbers were purportedly stolen from the FBI and "there may also be an additional 11 million Apple device IDs yet to be released, many with users' full names, addresses and telephone numbers attached."

What I want to know is, Why does the FBI have all of these ID Numbers to begin with? I can understand having a few ID Numbers from the people they may be investigating, but to have millions of ID numbers onhand to hack into personal devices by the FBI is not only questionable, but nefarious and frightening. They have no business storing these numbers in the first place.

Much of the personal data has been trimmed, however, with the hackers claiming to have left enough for “a significant amount of users” to search for their devices." ~All you did was play Angry Birds, now the feds know EVERYTHING about you.
