SAN ANTONIO- The HPV vaccine Gardasil is safe even for young girls. That's according to a new study from Kaiser Permanente. The makers of Gardasil paid for the study, but it was reviewed by independent health experts. The study found the only side effects associated with the vaccine were fainting on the day the shot was received, and infections around the injection site. The FDA first approved Gardasil in 2006 and concerns over its safety quickly emerged.
