SAN ANTONIO -- H-E-B has issued a recall for ground beef sold Friday morning at a single store located at 6000 West Avenue. The recall was made due to potential foreign material, according to a news release issued late Friday.

The affected product is limited to Value Pack ground beef packaged in a Styrofoam tray with a time stamp between 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. Friday, reads the news release.

Any customer who bought the ground beef can return the product to any H-E-B store for a full refund. Customers with any concerns or questions can contact H-E-B Customer Relations at 210-938-8357, or 1800-432-3113.

@glad1, I've got to disagree with you. The HEB & Hill Country Fare brands are quite good, for the most part. They carry all sorts of other food and product brands for sale, and not only their own as you stated. The company itself contributes to charitable organizations, are among the first responders to arrive with aid and assistance to those effected by disaster, and have several organizations and camps to help needy adults and children. What more do you want from them? I don't live in San Antonio, and my local HEB is great. It's clean, the employees are friendly & helpful, the food products are excellent, especially the fresh produce and items in the fish and meat markets. There are a few items that they don't carry that I know HEB's in towns closer to San Antonio do that I miss, but they don't have a market for these items where I live, so I don't blame my local store. I know that HEB isn't the only food store in San Antonio. Do you shop at others since you seem to hate HEB so badly?
