SAN ANTONIO -- Police are searching for a man they say robbed a Northeast Side ice cream shop Friday afternoon.

An employee at the Baskin Robbins in the 12,400 block of Nacogdoches said a man walked in around 2:00 p.m. Friday with a gun in hand. The employee told police the man took the cash register drawer and a tip jar and then ran off behind the store. Both the cash drawer and the tip jar were found dumped nearby a short time later, minus the cash.

No one was injured.

If you have any information about this robbery, please immediately contact Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP (7867), submit a tip online, or text a tip by texting "Tip 127 plus your tip" to CRIMES (274637). Callers can remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $5,000 if the information given leads to an arrest or grand jury indictment of a felony offender.

Man, you have to be really hard up to rob an ice cream parlor - even the tip jar! I hope they catch this guy and throw him under the jail.
