SAN ANTONIO -- Anyone with small children knows diapers are expensive.

Each week News 4 San Antonio continues our "4 San Antonio" series, finding ways you can lend a hand. And this week, we found a unique non-profit on the West Side that can benefit any parent and child.

From floor to ceiling, a small room at the Diaper Bank is packed with diapers and all new things baby. The free diapers are a huge help for any parent. Even though it seems like they have a lot of supplies, they could certainly use more.

"We are always in need of diapers," Arriola told us. "Sizes 3, 4, or 5 are essential for us. Baby wipes are, unscented baby wipes, as well as formula, definitely formula, unopened formulas."

The diaper bank is part of the Hispanic Religious Partnership for Community Health. They're funded with private grants and donations, and they're growing fast.

"Over the last two years, we have seen over 8,000 packages go out here, as well as we've served over $5,000 children," said Arriola.

Any parent can walk into their offices and get the help.

If you are interested in stopping by to donate unused diapers, you can stop by 1701 West Woodlawn, call 731-8118 or CLICK HERE to find out more.
