How do they know that it is safer? Has there been a significant decrease in accidents over long period of time? This a bunch of unsubstantiated claims on behalf of WOAI/NEWS 4.

Don't drive like an idiot on La Cantera and you won't have the problem! I have had no problem on that road. When it rains ... San Antonio drivers are the worse.

Look into why 1604 between Shaenfield Rd. and Bandera Rd is not completed like every other portion of 1604. They put these turn lanes in to get you to the other side of the road but they really suck. The accidents on Braun and 1604 are to numerous to count. What have they spent the money on to complete this road? Solar power? pre-k 4 SA? Or are they waiting to toll it?

ok great, now can you guys look at bigger issues and put 281 North of 1604 on the news more often so something can be done already?... i think i speak for most when we say we just want a solution. and terri hall just slows the whole process down instead of putting the needs of residents in the area first priority. i dont care if its toll or not. someone start constructing something.

Just in response to someone who said La Cantera road is dangerous... ummm NO. Just no. You have to be a real special Darwin Award candidate to flip anything over on that road, I could probably drive a garbage truck the speed limit there and be just fine. They need to leave that road alone.

I've driven that area for years and never had a problem. All of the curves would slow anyone down that knows how to drive. I know from first hand knowledge that the accidents that DO happen in that area are more the result of alcohol than some curves.

Obviously WOAI is patting themselves on the back, but that is good news to see something practical happen as a result of bringing attention to a dangerous problem. Same thing is happening on the La Cantera road by Fiesta Texas, it is very curvy and has tons of skidding and flipovers when it rains.
