LIVE OAK, Texas -- A Hazardous Materials team had a mess to clean up after fuel leaked from 18-wheeler onto Loop 1604 on the Far Northeast Side.
Officials said a driver in a Ford pickup truck was traveling on Loop 1604 near Lookout Road around 9:00 a.m. Monday, when the truck swerved into the left lane and sideswiped an 18-wheeler. The pickup hit right at the big rig's fuel tank, puncturing it.
No one was injured in the accident.
The driver of the pickup truck was not cited, and the accident is being blamed on the weather.
