POTEET, Texas -- A mother is arrested for supplying alcohol at her daughter's 16th birthday party.
Police say they were called to Bonnie Horn Guerra's home twice Saturday night because of loud music but quickly learned the noise was the least of their problems.
"Right on the kitchen table, we see just a huge amount of alcohol in an ice chest, we see a couple of bottles of alcohol," explained Sergeant Luis Farias of the Poteet Police Department. "We walked, and we just noticed about 45 to 50 kids in there."
Most of the kids were cited with possession of alcohol, and their parents were called.
Guerra, who is a former Poteet ISD school board member, was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with 28 counts of furnishing alcohol to minors.
Poteet is located 30 miles south of San Antonio in Atascosa County.
