I'm hoping we continue to get rain like this throughout fall and winter. After our extended drought, we need it to refill the aquifer and area lakes. I've almost forgotten what it's like to start a summer without some stage of water restrictions already being in effect.

We got 2.1 inches today (Walzem area) that's after 6+ inches last time. 2 inches is plenty, doesn't flood badly but still waters the lawn and plants (and fills up my rain barrel). Hey FreeHole, that's what happens when "our" President gets the Nobel Peace Prize after 7 months in office. (Gag me with a spoon!) Happy Halloweenie!

talked with my mother from KY, she said it's suppose to be in 30* this week, or is it next week? Either way, I'd take rain over my feet being going.
