HOUSTON - A fan died after he fell three stories while attempting to slide down the railing of an escalator at the Houston Texans' preseason finale.

Witnesses say the accident occurred sometime around 8 P.M. during the game versus the Minnesota Vikings near the northeast side of the stadium.

The 45-year-old man was rushed to a local Houston hospital but was pronounced dead.

Houston homicide detectives are investigating and were at the scene. But so far it is being ruled as an accident.

This is the second time within the last two years a patron has died at a major sporting event in Texas. Just last summer a man fell to his death in Arlington attempting to catch a fly ball at a Rangers game.

I wouldn't of called it an accident. I would of called it "Stupid".

It's never a good idea to be jack-assin' in a public venue.
