Food shortage at Taft High School

I am a senior that attends Taft high school and can definitely say this isn't the first time students weren't able to eat because of food shortages. At the beginning of the year, we were told that we could not go off campus because of the construction. Which does not make sense at all, there are about 500 of us in the senior claas,and if we were able to go off campus, it would relieve the congestion in the cafeteria to ensure all students are able to eat lunch. But our administration refuses to let us because of reasons/excuses that have not been justified.

They have the Canstruction going on at at North Star Mall.

this is not the first time this has happened a Taft and the school knows it. my daughter attends Taft and she came home the other day telling me the exact same thing. plus they are only using half the facility and some kids dont get to eat because of the long lines and shortened lunch periods. many have to walk from the portables on the other side of the school get in line and be fotunate to eat with a 25 min. lunch. it should be a priority to the school to feed theese kids. way too many kids for this old school when brand new Brennan just downn 1604 has way less kids that it competes in 4-A sports based on enrollment. we built it lets fill it NISD

This was not the first time this school year that this happened. This was the second time. How does this happen? My daughter attends this school and this is embarrasing and disappointing. Mr. Gonzales informed WOAI that the students are allowed off campus and this is also not true. I received a message earlier this year stating that students were not allowed off campus at any time of the day. However, even if the students were allowed off we do not plan for the school to run out of food. She has money in her account which she cannot use at the local fast food restaurants AND a free cookie

Was this like Judson HS, poor planning and construction scheduling?
